Two XD (extreme dynamic) linear motors and high-speed control give the FE 85mm f/1.4 GM II AF speeds up to 3x faster than the previous model. Moving subject tracking is improved by as much as 7x, allowing reliable capture even when using extremely narrow depth of field at f/1.4.
