Bird photography workshop on the Mount Royal
Come and discover bird photography on Mount Royal with Alexandre Guay, our specialist in ornithology and bird photography.
The territory of Mount Royal includes many green spaces made up of three summits, several parks, cemeteries, and large institutional properties. This large expanse of 10 km2 is teeming with plants and animal life, especially in the Mount Royal area, which is made up of forests, marshes and clearings.
No matter the season, Mount Royal is a real paradise for amateur or professional birdwatchers who want to have a great view without having to leave the city. There are more than 180 species of birds on the territory of Mount Royal, including more than a hundred that can be observed regularly. Indigo Bunting, Ruby-throated Hummingbird, Eastern Bluebird and Canada Warbler are regularly observed.
Accompanied by Alexandre Guay, professional photographer, you will be guided and coached throughout the journey.
Accessories for the outing:
• Telephoto lens or zoom (200 mm and more)
• Extra batteries (strongly recommended)
• Tripod (optional)
• Comfortable shoes and appropriate clothing according to the temperature

Pre-requisite: Knowledge of the basics in photography (ISO, aperture, shutter speed, depth of field). Knowledge of the different modes of your camera.
