The smartLav+ is a professional-grade wearable microphone that can be used for film, TV and live reporting as well as other situations requiring a very discreet recording system, without the complexity and cost of additional wireless hardware.

The smartLav+ can be used as a traditional lavalier/lapel mic and plugged into the headphone jack of a smartphone or tablet that records with the “RØDE Rec” iOS app or other audio app.

Equipped with an excellent quality omnidirectional condenser capsule, it captures sound at 360°, which leaves great freedom for fixing the smartLav+ and facilitates its use.

It comes with a pop screen to minimize wind noise and plosives (“B”, “T” and “P”) as well as a sturdy mounting clamp with cable guide. The Kevlar® reinforced cable prevents damage caused by pulling or breaking the cable.

The smartLav+ has been designed for use with the “RØDE Rec” app for Apple iOS devices, but it also works perfectly with other apps that accept input signals via the headphone jack. “RØDE Rec” turns an iOS device into a full-fledged field recorder, offering numerous EQ presets, professional sound processing features and the ability to post to SoundCloud and Dropbox directly from the app.
